Tanglewood Grounds The Historic Tanglewood Club is a public championship golf course that has hosted PGA TOUR and LPGA events. The club recently completed a $1 million renovation project that included substantial course improvements, updated banquet facilities and an entire fleet of new electric golf carts.Among a multitude of improvements, the project included a new public driving range, restored greens and bunkers, a new cart barn, upgraded drainage and irrigation systems and the removal of more than 1,000 trees. Completed in 1967, the course was designed by William F. Mitchell, a highly regarded member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. It sits among 130 acres of rolling hills, featuring bentgrass tees and fairways, as well as the smoothest greens in all of Northeast Ohio golf. The course will challenge players as they navigate strategically-placed bunkers, brooks, expansive lakes and tree-lined fairways. With multiple tees, play can stretch from a modest 5,100 yards to a challenging 7,050 yards, testing serious players, and allowing rookies room to learn the game. Now more than ever, Tanglewood is a must-play course for any golfer in the region. Share
